The skills you need

The hat is going to dip into your bag of skills. It isn’t necessarily hard to make, but you will use a variety of stitches.

Brand new beginners- you might need to learn a couple of new stitches (Stacked stitches) but here‘s a quick video and the written instructions are below, too. And its possible the Adjustable Ring might be new for you. I created a video tutorial and photo tutorial. This is a great beginning stitch to know for bottom up shawls and any top-down hats in your future.

Also, the stitching placement on this is a bit unique and will add to your skills!

  • PM as instructed as a visual reminder of first st of Rnd.
  • When working into a Sm V-st or V-st, work around the chain, encasing the ch.
  • To alter the height, instructions are written within the pattern.
